Optimizing Windows Registry

In my previous post, we saw how to backup and restore Windows registry easily by using ERUNT tool. In addition to backing up and restoration, the registry requires optimization too. Registry optimization keeps the registry hives healthy and increases overall performance. Just like we need to defragment our hard drive, registry too needs to be done the same. And NTREGOPT does that for you. NTREGOPT stands for NT Registry Optimizer and it works for Windows 7 and Vista too.
Just a few clicks and it's done. It is really very simple. Here's few images below.
 

As you can see from above, its just a few clicks' job. My registry was already optimized and so you don't see much of a difference in the last image. This small software does its work very efficiently, starting to optimize all the registry hives(files) from the scratch. Remember to optimize especially during installation and un-installation of a program.
